The Day the Earth Burned

$120.00

An intuitive landscape of memories and imagination. As a child in the 80s, when in was Ash Wednesday in Victoria, the sky over Melbourne turned red followed by a storm of dust and charred debris sweeping through the streets. As a grown up in 2009, returning from an overseas trip to see the devastation of the land and homes of people we knew in Callignee, the land sliding towards the road in black, ashen trails. Memories that come and intwine with dreams of volcanoes, parched desserts and the sun glowing red.
